Job Role

  • Collecting data on consumers, competitors and market place and consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentations.

  • Understanding business objectives and designing surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences.

  • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis. Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.

  • Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases. Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices.

  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation.

  • Translate business objectives into research steps {{e.g., questionnaires, focus groups}}.

  • Identify and collect relevant data points, for example:

    • Consumers: Demographics, buying habits, needs, and price points.
    • Competitors: Pricing structures, current tactics, and sales channels.
  • Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. He/She will be expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements.

  • Conducting research to determine the probability of a product’s or service’s success.

  • Using location data to target consumers in specific areas. Conducting research on competitors & measuring the success of their strategies.
